Emerald woke up everything blurry she pulled herself into a corner and looked at the three deep cuts in her stomach. She looked up trying to find Ethan she barley knew him but could tell he wasn't a fighter. She coughed a heavy cough when she looked down she saw blood in front of her.

Violet tried to break away from the clump of battling cats, but a huge cream she-cat pounced on her. She found herself fighting two, three, one, five cats at once. Screeching and yowling furiously, she desperately snapped at every flailing paw and tail.

Vennia held off a black tom and orange-patched she-cat, backing slowly against the bars.

Ethan blacked out for a second. A tabby tom pummeled him with blows and snaps. He swiped and missed, his legs starting to buckle.

Celeb finshed the cat off, He saw Butch sitting at the cage door wagging his tail lazyily. Celeb charged at him but was attacked by another cat.

Emerald looked around head pounding. She looked around and saw Ethen fighting a tabby tom she raced to him and tackled the tabby with a fierce look in her eyes.

Ethan's back leg gave in sharply where someone had bitten it. He faced two cats on three legs, falling under their blows. He gave one last strangled cry before giving in to darkness.

Violet shrieked as she was crushed under battling cats, sinking her teeth into someone's tail.

Vennia sprang over the tom. The she-cat slammed into her, throwing her against the ground.

Emerald hissed at the tom and bite his neck not enough to kill him but to knock him out. She spun around when she heard Ethen cry she turned around and saw him knocked out with two cats standing above him. As the cats ran away to fight somewhere else. She ran to him and pulled him into a corner and checked him over for any serious wounds.

Ethan lied completely still, his coat was red and the only sign he was alive was a few ragged gasps.

Violet tried to fight through the storm of blood, fur, and claws. It was her worst nightmare, trapped and surrounded, nothing left but her anger and hatred, slowly fading as the swarm of attackers flooded in. Except it wasn't people, it was CATS. I'm going to die as a cat. But that doesn't matter, I'll still die fighting. With an angry yowl she resumed the fight.
