I've wanted to get a Bison Calf and bottle raise it for a while now. But I keep reading that they are very wild and you can't tame them. I guess it can be done ( probably just harder than taming a cow). Actually this video was taken only 2 hours from my house...small world.

I think the article said he weighed 1600 pounds now but was expected to get 2200 at maturity. I watched a show once where someone raised an orphan elephant in the house for over a year, and yes, it lived in the house, 24/7. They had several layers of heavy plastic down, but said he needed them since they were the surrogate mom and needed to be fed so often. I believe they were exotic animal trainers.

But why?? Ok..so if an animal that big wants to come inside the house I guess they are kind of hard to stop - I sure wouldnt want to share my house with something THAT big though!

I just saw a show on Nightline or 20/20 I think that detailed this__or someone else that had a Buffalo in their house of something of the like. Then very shortly thereafter I saw previews to a show called Fatal Attractions that detailed what I think was the same animal when it attacked its owner and put him in the hospital.

Seems quite cute but honestly to try to make an animal be something it is not and attach human attributes to it can be quite foolish and dangerous.

I know a lot of people have full size horses (not ponies) living and sleeping in the house. Usually it starts with bottle feeding an orphan and they just never transition back to being outdoors most of the time. In some countries it's not at all abnormal and at one time was standard to live with your horse. Most modern houses require some adjustment to the floors particularly if there's a basement or lower floor. Most multilevel houses are not designed for more than 500lbs in any given area on the floor.
