I have currently been incubating muscovey duck eggs. today i went out to look at them and candle them and they have started hatching HOWEVER they've piped the wrong way around. before everyone says i shouldn't be opening the incubator, these eggs started out under the mother duck then she got off around 3 or so. im not sure how long as i was away for a week i came back to find her sitting on 40 eggs (chicken and duck). so Ive been trying to work out how many weeks they are roughly.
they dont look ready they look like there is alot of fluid at the top of the egg.
Ive hatched a few muscovy duck eggs before but i've never seen this before. the ducks are pipping and very active but do you think they will make it.
id love to hear from anyone elses experiences thanks
