The BLRW I have are much better layers and more fertile than my SLW. The key here maybe hatchery..... Hatchery SLW might be better layers than either of mine..... never had hatchery SLW or BLRW.

I had a SLW and a GLW, both were hatchery. The SLW skipped a day every 4th day and the GLW every 3rd or 4th. So even with the hatchery versions, they are not as prolific layers as the RIRs I have had. Of course there is no match to the Red Stars. One of my Red Stars has only skipped 3 days since she started laying July 30th last year. One due to coop change, one due to illness and one I just think was eaten because I found some broken shells but don't have any proof.

He's not that much of a model and it gets even harder to take a pic of him when you're holding him alone.

I couldn't get a full-body pic of him (yet), but I'm pretty sure it's a boy. He's much bigger than his girlfriend (behind him) and is really protective of her. I sure wish I could get a good body picture of him; he's starting to get his big boy tail feathers in too.

I can't find any of these colors in the states.

Does anyone have these colors of Wyandottes?

1. Salmon

2. Brown Porcelain / millie Fleur

3. Chocolate Silver Laced

4. Buff laced

5. Chocolate Partridge

Also, anyone think that one color of Wyandotte tends be be a great deal more broody than the other colors?

Or is it just line dependent like most things?

I also saw this gorgeous, blue laced silver Wyandotte pic in one of the threads but have not found anyone in USA that is breeding them. I would love to get hold of some eggs if anyone has one.
