I kept looking though their page, they also have the PORCELAIN! (AKA Millie Fleur or jubilee or whatever)

I think they said that they got their start from Germany. (I read German, not Dutch, but it is close enough that I can guess some)

I'll get you that picture tomorrow.
In the past 3 years I never marked a silver laced as a blue laced silver, but I often marked a blue laced silver as a silver laced.
There's the catch. I'm training my eyes since then but still making mistakes...

At 2-3 weeks I can be 100% certain about the color.

I live in Belgium. I started with silver laced hens and a blue laced silver rooster I got from a breeder in West-Flanders.

You understood the dutch pretty good.

For the redporcelain/mille fleur/jubilees I started with 20 eggs I got from a friend in Germany.
Only 6 chicks hatched due to some incubator problems.
I kept the best duo (out of 4 roosters and 2 hens) and paired them with 2 hens who came from a breeder here in Belgium.
No idea how the type will be this first year but I already have some promising birds concerning marking and groundcolor.

What you need is a golf bag! Seriously if you talk to the Agriculture Department you can find out what is necessary for importing the eggs. The Icelandics got a start here when someone was on a horse trekking trip in Iceland and was offered eggs. They helped her get the paperwork in order and she flew home with a carton of them sitting on her lap. That kind of speed probably means that the farm was already our equivalent of NPIP but it is not impossible.

You don't want them too dark, nor too light.
So right in between the extremes is the right kind of blue.
This is a difficult guideline because for some people that 'right-in-between-color' is darker/lighter than others their interpretation.
A friend once told me that the blue you want on your birds is the same blue as the blue on a 'regular' pigeon.



But of course , not all pigeons are colored the same.
Honestly I prefer the blue laced silvers a bit too dark.
Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

The color isn't recognized yet here in Belgium.
Together with other breeders I try to present this color in the same quality as the silver laced birds.
