That's interesting , I was led to believe that there are 9 strains of cocci and that sulmet only treats 3, where as amprolium treats all 9.

I use sulfa drugs.... I didn't find the others effective. I have not heard of the 9 strains before.... I have not researched that much.

From what I have read the sufa drugs are quite harsh on their organs and have longer withholding periods. I have amprolium and have found it to be effective if it is administered properly.

this is a little project I have been working on for the past few years. lavender wyandottes. these are still a work in progress. father and son, still working on getting the yellow legs with each hatch but this last generation is looking so much better

OK, I'd like to take my BLRW roo to a show....I have NEVER shown a bird...can I get y'all's opinions before I jump in the "arena"?

I am using it on chicks so withholding periods are not an issue.  I find it more effective and stops they dieing sooner than anything I have tried. 

Oh well if it's not broken don't fix it. What ever works for you and your flock.
