We supplied a ton of SLW chicks and started birds this year. There should be plenty of hatching eggs on BYC come spring. We have our breeding pens set up and we are hatching Standard BLRWs, SLWs, Blue, Black & our new addition.......Standard Partridge Wyandottes

I love them! I got a trio and a pair of them for my birthday....well, one hen was a gift for building the Wyandotte Breeder website. We hatch early so they will be filled out for the fall shows.

So...do you have any started SLW's left? A trio would be great! I want eventually about an even dozen...11 hens, 1 roo, but I could build up to that.​

We might have a cockerel or 2 left in another month or so, but we are out of pullets.

Mrs. Turbo, how are the blue & black wyandottes as layers? I presently have my first wyandottes (columbian) and am seriously looking at blues for my next flock. I think it would be neat to have all the different colors. Are they as large as other Wyandottes? Thanks.

I am not sure about the hatchery birds, but our blues and blacks are as big as our SLWs......pretty darn big. We don't normally slaughter our birds, but we did a BLRW cockerel and black wyandotte cockerel about a month or 2 ago and the black wyandotte had a really large breast on it.....the BLRW did not.

our blue wyandottes lay better than the other birds do.....close behind them are the BLRWs.

It was easy to find the Foleys at Shawnee. We seen a small trailer with featherauction.com on the rear and SLW and lots of loud quacking. Had to be them!​
