I know there like two little adventurers running around the garden.

Woot woot! it's time to get gearing up for breeding season. The lights are back on and one by one the girls are starting to lay again.

Took a couple pics of the kids today.

This is the Ken Aho line of bantam partridge.

I wish my Chocolate hen was sporting that beautiful tail. She has a bunny tail.><
Thanks, Ken and his barbies are so calm and sweet.

You have a split male that you can cross on a nice typed black? Our split male is the correct bantam size, the female a tad large. Imagine it will take a couple of generations to get the right size. For as young as this variety is, I am quite impressed with type. So many projects this year, I am chomping at the bit to get going!

Thanks, I was very lucky to have found the trio and pair. We also have a son of this rooster, he is just as nice. next years chicks should be great, so excited!
Thanks!
Well, Mine are large fowl, but too small. the roo is a black with chocolate gene, and with a bunny tail. LOL
Hmmm Curious how they were bred to be what they are now. Did he tell you? How is your females tail?
I have his original Greenfire English Choc Orp Roo and am looking for a nice black to breed him to... It will be fun to see how many generations to get the correct size. The choc bantam in the pic above lays a grocery size small egg and rarely misses a day. The renewed vigor from the cross probably has helped up the egg laying qty :) Useful as well as ornamental!
