The Wyandotte Thread

I really like the lacing-barring pattern!
Don't you have a thread where we can follow the project?
Do you still want them to look like Wyandottes or is the autosexing the most important thing?
I am looking forward to your updates

Right now I am working toward autosexing as the priority (condsidering that's what sets the wybar apart), with type being secondary. Once I have double barred males of either silver or gold they can be bred to a standard SLW or GLW hen and produce Wybar females to improve type.

Could some one post pictures of a gold laced rooster and a black laced blr rooster? What distinguishes one form the other besides perhaps darker mahogany coloring? (Some blr's don't have good color.) What would you look for to be sure which one you have? Thanks.

I crossed a GLW male over White Wyandotte hen and got Silver Barred-Laced males. White (most strains) carry Barring.

I am going to try crossing my whites with my blacks to see if i can get some size in the choc.

As hubby likes to say
