We have B/B/S(though, we cull the splash), but don't have a pen yet to separate out the blacks only.Same here. If anyone has LF black, I am also interested!

Keep the Whites as they will show you the true type and size of what a Wyandotte should look like in comparison to your BLR.
Whites are common but that does not mean you should get rid of them, they are one of the most beautiful varieties of Wyandottes in my opinion.

I did get them from Foley. I felt the same way, I just don't see enough gold to be getting the brown chicks either. I will keep an eye on them. Maybe I will keep hatching them if I am only going to be getting about 1/2 that are usable. I am going to look the pullets over again.... maybe it is coming from a pullet![]()
I am tempted to check with Jerry and see if I can buy another pair more SILVER. IDK.... just thinking. I really like them they are really cute... the roo has a little attitude but don't they all. I think I will give the other roo another chance and maybe a different pullet. Maybe the other one was not letting him mount her.

I will try that thanks!
You are exactly right. Many young breeders get lost in the colored varieties not realizing the difficulty in raising them.
Whites, Blacks, Buffs and Blues would be the best varieties for beginners as they will learn to see what type should look like while having success with much more established varieties.
