Sorry-it stinks!

Yeah.... yours were older and I would not have expected that. ALL of mine outside did ok. It was not as cold here though. Last night I think it was between 3-0. No NEGATIVES yet.

Sorry for your loss too. Mine was not as great since several were known roos

Sorry for every ones losses..so far so good here..My DH wanted to heat and I said no..I would be afraid of all the secondary stuff that comes from heating. It is dry..draft free and they have food and water available. Better than all the little chickadees that are flying around just fine.

Most of ours were blues and blacks. I thought we'd have 1-2, not 6-8 die. I have hatching due this weekend, so see what hatches. That's the only "light at the end of the tunnel". Plus I have 20 chicks inside... little buggers make me smile! At least we didn't loose any breeders.

Are you BBS LF???? Do you have just a pen of blacks too????? I might have to get some chicks in the spring. I need to UP the size in my choc.

Yep, LF. Once we get the new pens done-we will also have just a black pen. I don't usually breed splash, so we normally just get blue and blacks. They are fertile buggers!

Wybars are a NO GO. He was not a wyandotte. Don't know what he was but a cross. Good that I don't have another project anyway.....
