Pay no attention to the crazy coop they are in...we've got a 7.5' x 11.5' that will be done soon (snowy weather holding up our operations!) and they will be much safer in their new home...

Wyatt is showing some very nice Roo behavior...clucking at his ladies nicely and he even seemed to settle a dispute over greens this morning between a couple of other hens...so that was nice to see. Wynona really loves him and is practically his shadow...I actually had a nice moment with Wynona this morning. She is usually pretty flighty, but I picked her up this morning to give her a "once over" and she was very calm, so calm that I held onto her for a while, just stroking and cooing at her. We've never really interacted that way. She was shy from day one when we first met last fall, but she actually seemed to enjoy my strokes today. She didn't flap or make a peep when I put her back down either. She just about lives under Wyatts wing though, which makes me happy. He is good to her and I like it that they are a couple of love bugs...

I really think he will make a good Roo and I'm so happy to have him. The more and more I look at Wynona and Wyatt, the more I want some of their babies...oh man, my addiction is so strong! I'd let her be broody in a heart beat.

I think they are lovely! Love their names, too! What kind of camera do you have, how many pixels and all that? Your photos are good and I'd like to get a good camera to take pics with.

They are very beautiful birds! Actually, the feed store that I like to buy from is getting their silver and gold laced in for sale this morning, and I had planned on getting a couple, myself.
On a side note, the rooster and hen pictures are a very nice illustration (for me, anyway) about the difference in hackle feathers, and saddle feathers between male and female. It shows up very nicely. Thanks for posting them. They look like they have nice temperaments, just from the look in their eyes.

I guess my husband can't get mad if I end up with a really pretty Roo just, you know, somehow...and then he just *ooops* fertalizes some eggsss and they like, I don't know....fall into a 'bator...riiight?
