Sorry the wrong impresion was assumed.

Here is the correct one

That sounds awful, I hope someone can help. You might get a quicker response in the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures

BTW Katy....what is your honest opinion of my Wyatt? I'm just so in love with him right now...his attitude is so nice, very stately and masculine, but sweet and caring for his ladies, too.....but what do you think of his looks?

Thanks Katy! Yeah, as she feathers out and gets bigger that becomes more clear...I hadn't planned to show her...but man, the call to show a Wyandotte, as I fall in love more and more with these, is so strong. I may have to splurge at some point on a REALLY nice Roo and try and breed....oh....crap. I'm not supposed to be breeding Wyandottes. They are a part of my "pet" flock. I'm getting White Dorkings in acouple of months and am *supposed* to be breeding those!

I guess my husband can't get mad if I end up with a really pretty Roo just, you know, somehow...and then he just *ooops* fertalizes some eggsss and they like, I don't know....fall into a 'bator...riiight?

Have been strictly LF before that. I think Brody's Broodello has nice birds. She's got some pictures of hers on page 2 of this thread. They show and could give you a better critique of your birds than I can.

Oh I just went and looked...holy smokes! Check out that hen of hers! Oh my goodness. You know, I don't necessarily need to show them to love them and work on breeding beautiful birds...I think I might like to let Miss Wynona hatch a brood and see what kind of mama she'd make. I just love looking at her, even with her faults and especially love the way Wyatt looks.

Our first winter with chickens and the large single combs have been a problem.

I understand the Wyandotte comb is easier to manage in cold. Has anyone had issue with them in the cold?

Is there a favorite color combination? I've been looking at GL (a Wisconsin originating breed?) and BLR (so very lovely).
