The Wyandotte Thread

I have asked before, but it was probably dozens of pages back in the thread and I can't figure out how to use the search engine to look for specific posts rather than threads, so...

Does anyone have Partridge Wyandottes? I'm in Maine and am interested in just about anything of quality: hatching eggs, chicks or grown birds.

I have been in touch with Paul's Poultry, but was told they would not have any this year.

two slw bantams, 5 1/2 weeks old.

the smaller one, who i've named "Midge"

don't know of anyone that has any for sale..... we are thinking of getting into them if we can track some down. Sometimes you can find them at shows, but not for sale. You could hit some of the big wyandotte shows this year and talk to some breeders.

Hey! I'm new to Wyandottes-- my broody BO just hatched 5 SLWs out 2 weeks ago, and I'm really excited to see what they'll look like! I got them from a breeder, not a hatchery, so I'm hoping they have nice lacing.
Does anybody know how to tell gender this early on? I have 1 that is definitely a roo (pinkish thick comb already) 2 that are definitely pullets (completely dark combs) and 2 that are being stinkers about it. Either early developing pullets or late roos. Probably have to wait and see... and I'm a little impatient about it.

We can't keep roos where we live. Here are a few of my babies...

One of the pullets (with my itty bitty LBs-- those things have barely grown in 2 weeks!)

My obvious roo:

And 2 that look like this:

Wyandottes are the best! They were the first breed we picked in our research for the chicks and got the other 4 birds around when these buggers were being delivered to the feed store. "Goldie" & "Silvie" are so pretty too (in our eyes at least, nothing like Katy's birds)! Can you guess what lacing they have?! Ha.

I hope you don't think I'm a moron, but I love the coloring of this group of hens. kind of the color I'm going for.
(white laced buff) yes I know they are BLR

Mrs. Turbo :

look in the fluff under the feathers. We have BLRW chicks growing out that look to be black laced, but when you pick them up and look at the under feathers they are turning dark blue. BBS is blue, black and splash.

thank you for starting that new auction site, it was needed.
