The Wyandotte Thread

Hello Morgan7782!!!
I agree .....she's beautiful....,, totally precious!!! You'll really love the BLRW's!!!! They're so friendly and docile. They're the first ones to come running up to greet me...and they love being held and fussed over. Enjoy your new babies!!! Would love to see more pics when you get a chance!!!

I am so excited. I love friendly breeds, and got 4 so I had a choice on who would fit best. I will be rehoming 1 blue laced and 1 splash blrw, hopefully they are all girls

If he's a splash, I would expect some of his feathers to be blue. Usually you at least see a bit of blue in the tail or wing feathers. I can't really tell form these pic - I don't see any blue in his tail, but it't not a great angle. Can you get a good pid of his tail and spread wings?

Maybe this picture will help?

Hello!!!!
Yea, I agree.......the BLRW roosters are awesome!!! I have many breeds and many roos running around here(at least 25). I must say that my 2 BLRW roos are my favorites. I got them full grown this past February....and they just fit right in to the larger flock....no problem. They're so well-mannered and people-oriented........gotta love 'em!!!!!

Our chicks have been moved out of the bathroom into their temporary daytime home - a coop I got for free off Craigslist! It will work while they're small and we're building our permanent coop. But anyway, here's a picture of Violet, our BLRW, in their new coop this a.m. I'm hoping it's a pullet (obviously by the name Violet), but it was straight-run from McMurray, so there's always a chance "she's" a "he" and will need a new name! LOL

Excuse my mistake. Please do NOT take OFFENSE. I am very NEW to the breed and merely need to be educated without any snippiness. Thanks.

Correcting Blue LACED to BLUE. Excuse my mistake. Once again, I am very new and unfamiliar with this breed, just trying to learn now. Sorry again.
