I bet he looks good in blue flipflops, too! LOL! How old are the bantams I picked up today? By the way, Kevin loves them! I thought he'd be mad...

Glad he likes the bantams....they are cute. They are about 3 months old. I still get crap about the bright blue flip flops...LOL

Took a couple of pics of my Wy's yesterday.....I think they are turning out to be quite the flashy bunch! I have 2 SLW pullets - 3 BLRW's two of which are roos.... and one GLW - these are 22 weeks old........have still not decided which roo will 'go over the fence' to the neighbor's place .........they are getting along 'okay' so far - just a bit of chasing going on and when this one pictured tries to mate with any of the gals he gets bowled over by the other!

Isn't this lil splash hen just the cutest? She is super shy tho and very skittish

I think that your birds are gorgeous. Being a dog trainer I quess that Tess and the Border Collie do not try to round up your birds ? I am having a problem with my little German Shepherd who is jealous of the attention that I give to my birds ! Frustrated at times I am.

BEAUTIFUL! What lines are they from?

Thank you so much for the compliments...

....

I bought my BLRW's from a local breeder and I believe they derive

from the Foley line .......and believe it or not those are Privett Hatchery SLW's

and GLW!!! I know! I am pleasantly surprised to say the least!

Having read so many comments on the subject I really was not expecting such pretty birds from

hatchery stock! I say WTG Privett!

To answer the question on my herding dogs .....they have a completely fenced acre in the back of the house

and the coop is in the forest to the side yard - not that they aren't curious and poke a nose out to investigate

once in a while when the flock is free-ranging!!!!

Roz the border whom I would trust more than my aussie as she has duck herding experience:

Tess my aussie I wouldn't turn my back on - I would expect her to be more unpredictable - altho she was the one that was entranced with the chicks in the brooder! She LOVED chick TV - my brother always said she was thinking 'Dang! When will these things be big enough to eat!!!'~~

I finally was able to get some pics of my babies....

This one is my GLW Bantam:

Here are my two hatchery SLW, pretty sure the light one is a roo. I am still holding out a small glimmer of hope that I am wrong. If I am right, I am probably going to have to find a home for both of them, they are inseperable.
