Their all over!!! What do I do?

They should be fine.Sound's like a Pinball machine at time's.I have never misted chicken egg's in hatch stage however.Occasionaly would add moist warm paper towels for ducks or geese and kinda prop the towel up if they were taking a while to hatch.I think the peeping and the noise help's the other's to hatch.I have hatched several 60+ at once so...

It seems that they have calmed down a little. We're going to see what it's like in the morning. Being that it's our first hatch I was just worried that having the other eggs rolling around would cause problems with the others hatching. We have a total of 23 eggs that are due today 4/5 and only 6 have hatched so far. Just gotta be patient.

Don't be too quick to toss any slow eggs! I have had some pop on day 19 and others take 25!! I have heard of some going 26. I will give them 25 but 26 is a lil long to me. Besides I usually do staggerd hatches 4 days apart. I need the hatcher. LOL

I heard that the hatched chicks will lay, sit, stand by the next eggs trying to hatch cause they chirp back and fourth we can hear them I know they can hear each other to before hatched. Might wanna watch for that maybe it would help?


Someone on here told me not to get rid of any eggs till a week after hatch date that they have had some hatch on 26 and 27th day and be just fine?

Yea my husband and I decided that we are going to wait til the weekend til we do anything the the un-hatched eggs.

Hi there- I was reading all the posts and saw reference to staggard hatch dates and multiple sets- if you aren't supposed to open the bator, how can you get several hatches? After 2 days, the first batch of chicks would have to come out. I was wondering that myself since I have eggs on the counternow ready to go in and another batch on the way (timing is off). I wanted to set eggs tomorrow and again when the others got here.

Tht is when I came up with the steamy bathroom idea! I had 6 sets that went in any where from 2 days to a week apart. The HOT STEAMY bathroom keeps the humidity up and keeps the temp from dropping when opend up. I have not lost any yet! From now on this is how I am going to do it.
