my BR keeps getting in the nest box and squatting and moving around in the nest, scratching it and pushing it around. She has done this in all of the nest boxes, I guess she is trying to pick one. I hear what I think is an egg song, go outside, and it's one of my reds looking at her doing the song and she is still moving stuff around and squatting.
How long does it take when they start trying like this? she is panting hard and I have never seen what a vent flapping looks like but that is what I would describe that she is doing. Looks like chicken lamaz!
