Does anyone use this one:

It was 62 degrees in the house this morning (50 outside) and in the afternoons, we have to run the air conditioner! Crazy. I'm not home to constantly check on the temperature so I was wondering if this would work for my brooder or should I get something else. Maybe I missed something because all I've seen is about using a heat lamp. Is it just too obvious that you have to hook it up to a thermostat and what kind to use?
Tomorrow's the *big* day that we go pick up our chicks.
I feel like I'm not quite ready yet. I've got a waterer, a feeder, bedding for the floor of the big storage tub we're using as a brooder (I'll post pics somewhere once DH fixes the lid tonight so they can breathe), a heat lamp (hubby's getting a 50 watt bulb at Petsmart on his way home) and we'll stop on our way back and get the same kind of feed as the chicks are used to eating and whatever else the folks we're getting them from think is necessary. In case, they forget something crucial, is there anything else we should have for them?
