I totally get the reference and love the unfortunate events books! The movie wasn't half bad either. (And I NEVER like the movie if I love the books---movies always mess things up! Anyway, fabulous names for chickie darlings!

Hay makes me think of my grandparents barn and how it's always full of prairie hay and straw, and how we played on it when we were little...

Nah, I'm kiddin! My chicldhood was flipping AWESOME! My mom is amazing, and I was blessed to have THE MOST wonderful grandparents on the face of the planet!

Bless your heart---I'm sorry. That's gotta be tough. My husband comes from a rough childhood too. His family leaves much to be desired. But then he just settled right in to my family and it's like he never missed a thing! Finding your extended family is the key, I think! Just remember how awesome you are, and you will find your place in the world!
