I am sorry, we can't helpt it we love her so much. We have tried several diapers for her but they are either too uncomfortable for her or she takes them off so I always have paper towels handy and the trusty Swiffer Wet Jet on hand as well. She a sweetie, she coos and cuddles, she likes to jump on the couch for a little TV time, she has given the cats a pecking order and is queen of this house coop!

Oh I would just love to see the look on thier faces when they see a chicken in the house. What do you tell them when they ask if you know it is a chicken?
Oh really I thought it was a parrot!!

I usually laugh and just tell them she got hurt. You would not believe how many people want to pet a chicken but are literally shaking when they got to pet her!

It seems several "chicken people" have parrots. I was afraid taking care of chickens I might bring a disease or germ in to my parrots.

1 Double Yellow Headed Amazon
1 Mealy Amazon
1 Goffins Cockatoo

What parrots do you have?

Oh, by the way, my little scissors beaked chicken used to come inside. She suddenly dissappeared. I miss her.

We had a Rhode Island Red Rooster that someone had given us about 2 years ago. His name was Bruster and he was a big un'. He had 1 1/4 inch spurs and he really protected his little harem. One evening I went down to the coop and feathers were everywhere! He jumped out of the coop and his comb was bleeding. All of his tail feathers were gone too. I am pretty sure that he fought off a racoon. We lost no hens though. I swore then that he would not be culled. He died a couple of weeks ago from natural caused. He was almost 10 years old.
