Fuego volcano in Guatemala is going ballistic today.

Kilauea had a great fountain again overnight but is resting right now. Go back 7-8 hours int he stream.

And Etna's being Etna this week. None of the "live" streams are actually live, they're all reuters cam network loops.

No. They're all considered acttive and dangerous to humans. I'm a geology geek and particularly obsessed with volcanology, so this is more general interest than any kind of news.

Well, Etna is on Sicily. Was it maybe Campi Flegeri? That's on the western side of Naples and is a supervolcano. If it goes, bad things will happen.It's "Dormant" but there's been quake activity that could indicate the magma chamber is refilling.

Don't get me wrong, Etna with a strong eruption will wreck most of the Med and lots of Europe to the East of it too, but it's not as big a boomer as Campi. Vesuvius and is part of the same Volcanic field as Campi Flegri, and is active active as well.


Long story short, the Italians drink a lot because their entire country is actively trying to kill them.
