There's a Goose loose aboot this hoose!!

Good for you for doing your research first. I knew a house goose years ago. I don't know what kind it was, but it was all white, if that helps. Really nice bird, Very friendly. I don't even know if it was a goose or a gander.
I wonder if it was either an Embden or a Sebastapol? I have had trouble finding breeders that have anything but these although I've now found someone who can supply Toulouse which I understand to be very docile and easily tamed. I think I will be going with this breed when it comes time.
 
Well, I know so little about geese, I had to look up those breeds. Could have been an emden. He/she was not frizzled, and pure white, so less likely to be a sebastopol, but could have been a smooth one. He was in his twenties when I met him, and the only pet this family had, so he was very well socialized and maybe had mellowed a bit too.
