I have 6 hens now. They were originally in with two roosters and two more hens, but the hens taken by a raccoon.

I removed the roos from the area because the girls' backs were plucked, red, and irritated. I figured it was the roos. For about a week or two, their backs started to improve, then they gradually got back to their original plucked, irritated condition. I have five hens with plucked and pecked backs and one without. Safe to say she's the pecker, right? Thanks!

Perhaps; could you observe them to confirm? I'd try BluKote or something similar to help with healing and deter more pecking. Good luck!
