There's something in my egg??????????

Is it the air sac? I'm only on day 2 and we candled and we see a dark spot that seems to be floating aound as we turn the egg...when we turn the egg with the "pointy side down" it floats to the top (the big side)???????What sould we be seeing?

Probably a meat spot. If the air sack is broken, you will see a bubble floating.

hmmm... methinks the yolk. The yolk will float like you described - is it the right size?

Most people recommend not to bother the eggs for the first 5 days

you should be candling after the 7th day

please correct me if I'm wrong

Day 2 is WAY too soon to candle! The embryo is very delicate at that stage and almost impossible to see in the egg by then. Don't touch those eggs till Day 7-9 or you may damage them yourself and they won't hatch.
