I have a thermometer (not digital) that has a gap in it (like an air bubble) can I fix this? should I buy a new one? or can I just subtract the space from the total?

ex: space is 10 degrees thermometer reading is 110, 110 - 90 = 100 degrees

thanks

You could try putting it in hot water till the two parts meet ( don't heat it too far past max temp though, And be carefull especially if it is a mercury thermometer ) then cool it down, it should stay together then. Or you could try shaking it bulb down, Or both.
