I am new to incubating chicken eggs and I was just wondering which temperature I should trust.

I have the Farm innovators pro series 4250 incubator which comes with a built in hygrometer and thermometer. I read that i should never trust the thermometer on it as it is not accurate so I decided to get 3 other thermometers. I went out and bought a AcuRite Digital and regular Outdoor Thermometer w/ Probe and lastly a
Zoo Med Digital Thermometer. My problem now is that all are showing different temps and Im getting worried and having the worst trust issues with which one to believe.

FI 4250: Have it set at 101 Degrees
Acurite Digital: 97 Degrees (Steady)
Outdoor Reg: 98- 100 Degrees
Zoo Med Digital: 99.0- 100 Degrees

I know they're in close range how ever I did calibrate the Zoo Med in ice cold water and it was spot on, the Outdoor one was calibrated and found it to be off by 4 degrees and the other 2 are questionable.

Ive also seen a lot of you folks using the AcuRite Digital and seem to not any issues with it, but mine has been inside of my incubator for a little over a week now and i just put the eggs in yesterday and no change in temperature whatsoever. Even when I turned the incubator up it was a steady 97. I think ive only seen it jump to 99 once but the incubator was set to 103 but would throw off my other thermometers.

Any information will help.

Thanks

You trust the one you calibrated.

You have to remember that different spots in the incubator can read different temps at the exact same time.
