thermometer placement?

When you have your hova-bator incubator turner full of eggs where do you put your thermometer (flukers hygrometer/thermometer combo)? Do you just lay it on top of the eggs?

You can lay it on top of the eggs or put something inside on the right side of the turner to lift it to egg height. The important thing is that it is at egg height and not on the floor of the bator.
