We are on day 7 of incubation , and my question is , I have two thermometers and get different readings from both. The one that I'm trusting for the true temp is actually the thermometer that came with the Little Giant egg turner ( not my incubator , it's borrowed , and I don't think that I will buy this brand !) It is reading 99 , and the other thermometer that I'm using is a digital one that also displays the humidity. I have only been using the humidity reading on this one and not the temp. reading . Is this the right thing to do??
I'm just feeling like these eggs are NOT going to do well. The reason that I even have the incubator here is that the man that we borrowed it from put almost 3 doz eggs in it to hatch at my sons school , and only one chick hatched. He had tons of problems keeping the humidity up. My daughter was going to keep the chicks from that hatch and was very dissapointed that we only got one , so he let us borrow it to hatch more out. Now I'm questioning the temp. I hope these eggs hatch , or I'll end up buying chicks for her !!!What should I do ?? Thanks for any advice in advance ! You guys are great !!!
