thermostat went out, max temp 114 min temp 73

not sure how long it stayed at temp... is there hope?

went to bed last night and everything was fine. got up to see the incubator under 80 this morning i have an outdoor thermometer in the incubator and above are the high and low temps... i have 4 healthr chicks and one that is doing better than 24 hrs after he came out of the egg. so i can be happy with what i have current hatch rate is about 30% and the eggs came from my rooster and 2 hens.

do i let this set go, or give them some time. with the high temp 10 over max, and now i have a bird bath heater in there connected to a hot water heater thermostat... its going to take some time to get things settled...

opinions?

there is always hope but 114 is really not good. How long do you have to go before hatch day? If it's a few days I would wait it out and see, if you are at the start of the 21 day period then if it was me I would toss them and start again once I had fixed the bator issues. Good luck.
