what is this breed of bird?
Easter Egger or Ameraucana. Not sure.
i looked up the Ameraucanas and some didnt have the feathers on the side of the face that stick out.. makes it look fluffy! haha. butwould that be a type of Ameraucana?
Left: Blue Ameraucana
Right: Easter Egger (white legs)
Their is only one type of true Ameraucana and they come in 7 recognized colors, blue being one of them. And Ameraucanas must have the muffs/beards on the face. The one on the left would be a true Blue Ameraucana, the one on the right would be a Splash sport, but since the standard doesn't recognize Splash, it would technically be an Ameraucana even thought it has the same body type. The leggs to me don't really look white, but maybe just the light slate color, and it may just be lighting from when the pic was taken.
if they are slate, it could be a splash
OH yeah, you can easily tell it's a splash, just from the color.
