Sounds good! while he’s at it, he might want to make sure there’s enough roosts for all the chickens up higher than the nesting boxes. Just curious... Did you clip only one side or both?can they really get up I even though I clipped their wings? I just clipped them which is why they stay in their pen now.

You can just throw it on the ground. Also if you are planning on giving your chickens any type of treat you must give them grit in a separate feeder.I never heard of black sunflower seeds. and as far as Chicken scratch goes do I just throw it down on the ground and the they eat it off the ground or do I put it in their food bowl?
