Barred Rock ? Looks like a hen to me . Can't see the red bird very well

Looks like a cockerel to me. I believe I see some masculine feathers coming in.

How old are they? The barred looks like a cockerel, and I’m guessing cockerel on the red one as well, depending on the age.
