These chicks are vexing me 🤔

Hi there!

I recently got what I was told were 2 french black copper maran chicks born 4/16. Today that should put them around 7 weeks old. I question if they are both FBCM or not. The one that is all black has very feathered feet, the one with more gold has semi feathered feet. I was thinking maybe they are different types of marans? As long as they are both hens, I don't care, they just look so different.
And speaking of both being hens, I know FBCM roosters have pretty quick growing combs, which this one doesn't seem to have? Has an awful lot of gold, though, compared to the other one. What does everyone think, pullet and pullet or pullet and roo? Thanks, all!

X2, and I would say both FBCM. How much gold leakage they each get depends on the individual I think. I don't know much at all about marans, so just going off of the little info I already know lol

Yay, thank you! I can't have any misters so that's a relief. I also don't know much about marans, except they grew way faster than the other 3 breeds I got last year!
