Our chicks finally made it. Golden comets, Dark Brahmas, Barred rocks and Easter Eggers. Been a long wait but probably a good thing because this coop has taken longer than expected. Just have to put the roof on the run. First time with chickens. Any last minute advice is welcome😁

Do they have brooder lamps there to little for no warmth. Keep them in a confined space until they start getting feathers in.
Yes, they are in the garage with a heat lamp right now. We are using a watermelon box. They are definitely funny to watch.

Thanks! I hope it serves them well. Funny thing is we have lived here for five years and have had the chicks for 2 days. I was looking out the window this morning and see a weasel run through the yard. Never seen one out here before.🤔

Make sure you keep a close eye on them. This is their most vulnerable stage.
