Great idea about the hand/feet warmers monarc, I'm going to go buy some and just keep them around in my animal medicine kit. Especially since I won't be able to do my next hatch until the monsoon season hits out here and I'm likely to have a few outages myself.

I am SOOOO sorry about your eggs and chicks farmertank.

What a horrible thing to have happen. I hope your young eggs make it!

I had a power outage the other day also but I used a generator untill it came back on.

I'm sorry you lost yours.

The hand warmers are a good idea Monarc I would look for the reusable ones though. Only down side would be if they were not recharged when you went to use them.

Dang, Farmertank, that just plain stinks, sorry to hear about your situation. There isnt much you can do about that. The handwarmers are a really, really good idea Niki!! I had a brooder heat lamp burn out on a below freezing night and i lost almost half my brood, something like 30+ quail, i dont remember off hand, so i feel your pain.

I have a happy story for you to cheer you up.........you can get more eggs and in 17-18 days you can have another successful batch with a different outcome!!! Dont give up, keep on trying!! If you need some eggs, i would be willing to ship you some, free of charge. Let me know!.........Jason
