They are here, all 30!!! (Pic and video!!)

Umm obviously but they aren't going to be laying for a long long while and they aren't egg production chickens so I don't feed layer plus I will have roosters and also don't want to feed all that calcium.
I think what udovichtony means is that although your hens perhaps weren't bred for the specific purpose of laying eggs, they still will lay....probably quite proficiently too. If you have roosters, no worries...when they are all about 20 weeks or so you can switch them from chick starter to their adult grower, or whatever you plan to feed but for your hens do provide a free choice bowl of oyster shell for calcium. Hens know when they need it and how much, it's an instinct so they will take what they need and the roosters probably won't bother it. Even if they did eat a little, it won't hurt them. Oyster shell can be purchased at the feed store and they usually have different sized bags, you won't go through as much as you will feed obviously because it's just a supplement. I used to feed oyster shell, when the ducks were younger than the hens and everyone was on Flock Raiser, but they all eat Layena now and they do fine without the shells. You don't HAVE to feed Layena to get eggs, just those of us with all hen flocks do because it's easier. Feeding another feed with oyster shells works just as well.
