We just built a new coop for our 6 chickens. They were in the Tractor Supply 6 chicken coop. But it was wayyyy too small. And wasn't very efficient for our Michigan winter. The door constantly wouldn't close or open. So, it was time for an upgrade. We bought a shed and converted into a coop. They seem happy. They are still laying eggs. In fact! They lay more now. Pictures below. The first is the old. The others are the new coop.

Well done. When are you getting more birds?
We are thinking the end of February or beginning of March. I kept all the old stuff from my first flock. And when they are ready for the outside, we are going to reuse the old coop. We are going to set it up next to the run, so our old flock and new flock can see each other through the fence. I heard this is the best way to introduce them.
