Thanks Tami!!! Yours are so cute too. So glad your 2nd shipment went SO WELL!! I'm not sure if I'd do the ordering thru the mail again, esp not with a mix of the LF/bantams since the only DOAs were 2 of the 4 bantams. I SO want white silkies though...might have to have another brooder full come the summer LOL

blue_egg_lover WOW what an assortment!! Yep, thanks not gonna be easy figuring out who's who!! BUT if you just put a box in the brooder, and take out the ones that you are certain who's who, then you can use your powers of deduction and figure it out

Thanks for the comments everyone.

We have named them all, and have lost a couple more over the weekend, so I called Ideal today and they are sending a replacement order this week. I was going to just get a refund but since they're able to send some new ones out this week I decided to do that instead - haven't told DH yet (oops).

The new order should contain:

2 SLW
2 White Silkies
2 Columbian Wyandottes (these were never sent in original order - we were sent GLW accidentally instead)
1 Barred Rock
1 Easter Egger
2 RIR (original order had only 1, i added 1)
2 golden laced cochins (added to the order since I LOVE our partridge cochins hehe)

plus packing peanuts (yikes).

Last night we had DH's parents over for dinner, and during dinner one of the easter eggers died unexpectedly. So I'm trying to plan for the worst. Any ideas for finding homes for the males??
