they get to full term then die!

Honestly, if you are sure of your hygrometer, 35-50% is fine. Mine usually stays in the low 40's the first 18 days. Then I up it to between 60 and 70%. My hatches are clean and usually, they get out without any assistance. Humidity is less of an issue than temperature.

What I would suspect is suffocation at the end. People try to up the humidity and close up all the holes when the peeps need oxygen the most.
 
well i opened the last egg and it had passed. think goodness really or i would have been really upset. looked like a beautiful baby but wasnt alive looked like it died a few days ago:(
