Alrighty, got the call early this morning and luckily picked up a box of 15 fluff balls from the post office. About half of the chicks are really sleepy. Everyone got their beaks dipped in the waterer with save-a-chick and scratched in some feed. The air temp in the room is about 80, but some of the sleepy chicks are having trouble navigating back to the heat plate, so they're ending up huddled in a corner. The brooder is not super big, so is this something they'll figure out over the next 24hrs? I figure I'll be checking on them constantly today, but worried about when I go to bed tonight.
I've raised ducks & geese, but first time with chicks so I'm nervous. Also totally in love with how soft they are and pictures just don't do their coloring justice <3
