They must have suffocated!! I'm heartbroken!!

if they are too cold they pile up on eachother.

if they are fine the will sleep next to eachother all over.

when they go to one corner or side and huddle onto eachother they were just cold.. im sorry about the deaths.

try warming them up. theyll let you know if they are too cold/hot. by the way they are sleeping
 
I think the roost will really help. When a loose chicken around here hatches out a clutch, they usually start roosting when they are just a few weeks old. Keeping my feathers crossed for your babies!
 
I would run a heat lamp out there. I know its warm at night, but with it being hot they will spread out a little to cool down. Adding roosts may help to as everyone else suggests.
 
What is the temperature at 5 a.m.? It really doesn't matter how warm it is at 7 p.m., b/c that's the warmest it's going be all night.

:aww I am so sorry girl................ don't beat yourself up..........things just happen......... like my drowning my chicks.....it was horrid.......but I had NO idea it COULD happen like that........hope you find a way to stop the piling...........
