They never live long enough and they always break your heart...

I know what its like to lose someone you love, you have brought back memories of my own, and for that I thank you - - - even though I am crying, I am happy that I can still remember them.
I am so sorry for your loss

Thank, so much guys. I really, really appreciate it.

It was a rough night & I didn't sleep well or for very long. I'm going to take the day off of work today. I think I'm going to wash her hair so we can send it off and have some beautiful jewlery made for those of us who loved her.

Again, I thank you - your kind words were just needed.

Here's another picture of Daisy. This one last taken last year - the gray in her coat obscured her dapples - but she was still beautiful to us....

Here she is reminding Siggy that he's not really her type...

Jewellery with her hair is a lovely idea... With such a stunning color mane & tail, I'm sure it will be an appropriate reminder. What are you picturing for the jewellery?.. I see something with plaited leather....

I know the love you have for her... I got my mare back a few years ago after having thought that I'd lost her for ever.... I orginally got her when she was 2 years old.. she had been designated mine as a foal... She taught me confidence and gave me guts. She means so much to me... and that's why I give her the best of care and I know that she will be with me to the end of time... (she is 17 now)

thats what matters.. knowing that you did everything you could for them... because they gave it all for you...

For me, the horses are the toughest to lose .. they are such soulful creatures.

Your love for her is obvious.

I grieve with you today ...

What a lovely tribute. It made me cry for Daisy and you and brought back memories of my own angel palomino mare, Princess. She had wings too and took wonderful care of me when I was a kid - never let me down.

Thanks, again, guys. We are looking at this company: http://twistedtails.com/

It
was sad to feed this morning. Stanley was still standing over in the corner of his pasture closest do where Daisy was laying last night. I fed him there. I wonder if it would make him feel better if Siggy were there for now...

There is a company I used called Treasured Tails. She did an awesome job and was very compassionate.

Sorry for your loss, I lost my 32 year old mare 3 years ago and my 2 year old Gelding 2 years ago. I have a Dreamcatcher made from my Mares Hair and a KeyChain and 2 Bracelets from my gelding, I also had a second keychain made and I sent it to my trainer.
