They put themselves to bed ...

I never used to take videos.. somewhat recently I've started to semi often take them and I am so glad that I do! I love photos but it's so nice to be able to go back and watch old memories in motion.
You can see so much more on video. I still like photos, but for my ducks the videos are fun to watch. Of course, it might end up like the videos I took of my kids, never watch much once you store them. ;)

Well mine were always good at being shooed inside walking behind bending over a little with my arms open guiding them where they should go. Then when mamas had their duckling she would teach them. :)

Any suggestions for the best way to do this? Just get them familiar with the coop when they’re young? I’m very curious!
I actually think that I lucked out. Consistency is the key though. I was consistent with their brooder and when I moved them to their house, it was all ready and set up. I thought the first night was a fluke, but they must feel secure enough to do it every night.
Or it is just the nature of muscovies?

Nope not necessarily their nature I had 3 rebellious girls once who wanted to stay out all night they got up on the hill where I couldn't get to them too steep it was freezing outside and no matter what I tried they would not go in so needless to say at I fixed their wagon and next day when they came into the smaller fenced in area they had no choice since I had fenced in their house into that part so once they came in they couldn't get back out they didn't have a choice. I'd closed the gate on them. Funny thing is they never did try and pull an all nighter again. I bet they got real scared once it got quiet out there in the dark.
