They said "Rhose Island Red", I'm not so sure

This RIR (?) was supposed to be a pullet. Now I'm not sure what I have. I bought her from a local feed store which buys from several major hatcheries.

It kind of looks like a golden laced wyandotte. How old is it? It looks like it could be a roo.

Looks like someone crossed a Gold Laced Wyandotte with a Rhode Island Red.

It is a roo and is not a RIR. It looks like a golden laced wyandotte but they have rose combs, it may be a single combed sport.

yes I almost forgot, many wyandottes breeders complay that at some point or another a birds shows a single comb, yep, single comb p+/p+, r+/r+ is recessive to rose comb R/R

Alot of times kids will pick the chicks up and put em back where ever...well adults also...Most the staff cant tell a buff Polish from a black nacked neck...
