I'm sorry I didn't get any pics...it would have been funny! Especially b/c I have tooo much money to mention invested in three coops and a barn and a new run. All complete with every chickie amenity!!! Maybe they caught word of the "Self Sufficient Movement" and they got inspired!

My little OEGB would sleep in the pine tree every night like clockwork. While the others were in the coop, she would fly up to the tree. One night, we came home and there was a possum trying to get to her from the fence.

She now gets locked in.

I once had a large flock of semi feral bantams that slept in the pine trees. A family of Great Horned owls discovered them, and by the time the chickens started sleeping in their coop half of the flock had been eaten. Only the smart or lucky survived.
