My geese along with my moms chickens will be here Friday! I'm so excited and hoping I love them as much as the ducks. I got 3 embdens in hopes of a pair. I will be babysitting the chickens until my mom gets done work but after it'll just be me and the geese. I've read up a lot about them before I decided to order them but I'm still wondering what the secrets to keeping them are. Like with ducks they are messy but no matter how many times you are told your never prepared for it. I've heard they will rip each others feathers out how do you prevent that? How do I raise them so they don't become mean? Can you really not hand feed them? Will they become protective of my ducks or just kinda do their own thing? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
