I made this lovely salad bar for them to snack on.....

And they really seemed to enjoy it....

THEN the temperature soared into the triple digits and they decided to renovate it into something more useful.....

So I made them a new salad bar,

and now they have both...salad bar and dust bath.... but I'm wondering if I should have placed them closer together so they can snack while they bathe.....

A co-worker of mine told me I should check out the local produce market and see if they will save me the fruit and veggies they are going to throw out for my girls , but I never thought of planting veggies in their run , I may just do both , altho would have to do it like you did with them hanging

I am fairly new at this chicken stuff - but as I see it they will not let the seeds grow any further than seedlings and there gone!

So i just added a row of leaf lettuce in my veggie garden and pick a handful each time I'm up there to throw in for them - they go crazy.

I'm cutting my cantalope today - they LOVE the rines - right down to nothing at all left (I was shocked at this the first time).
