They will NOT come out of the coop

We've had our banties since August. They never EVER come out of the coop on their own. When I take them out, they fly back up into it. That can't be good for them. It's now getting cold here (low 40's in the afternoons). Should I block the coop and MAKE them stay outside or should I just leave them alone?
