Cute! how high are those brooder sides or does it have a wire top? Mine started popping about in less than a week and now they hop over 18-20 inches high and trade boxes. I don't have a top on the box. The bigger ones are in a taller box, but the medium size ones have learned to 'pop the wall' into the kiddie brooder.

I think Red Stars might be another name for Golden Comets, not sure, but here are my NHR and Gold Comets

The Red Star is another name for Golden Sex Links. The brooder is a travel hutch for a rabbit, so there is a cage top and sides with the plastic bottom. I'll have to move them to a big cardboard box when they get bigger. This is our first time, so far so good. They all fall asleep under the light at the same time, then they all wake up and have to eat at the same time. Lots of fun to watch!

awww very cute...we're on our way to orschelin's tomorrow...they're getting more chicks in...

You sure can spend a lot of time just watching them! They think the thermometer is great fun.

Lots of peeping is okay as long as they seem to be acting normal, right? They all lump up and sleep under the light, then they all get up and go eat, then they all scratch around in the shavings until one falls asleep and the others follow suit. Oh, and lots of grooming of fluff.
